The organizers of the Book Fair are the Government of St. Petersburg and the Russian Book Union. The exhibition is supported by the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications.

Dates Salon timed to the Day of St. Petersburg and it will undoubtedly attract not only visitors but also the attention of officials.

The main event of the business program Book Fair will be holding various events as a part of the Year of literature in Russian, International Writers Forum that aimed at supporting and developing reading in Russia, promotion of Russian literature in the region and in the whole world, the Conference of the Congress of Writers and Young Writers of Russia, which will gather in St. Petersburg authors from across the country. Particular attention will be paid to the support of children's literature and the promotion of children's reading and to the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory and it’s part in world and Russian literature.

In the business program will be attended by officials, heads of publishers, booksellers, networking, Russian and international experts, writers, representatives of the various funds supporting publishing projects, representatives of the library and education communities, and cultural figures.

As part of the Book Fair provides extensive professional program aimed at training and professional workers in the industry through communication with the leaders of the book market, participation in seminars and workshops.

Participants Book Fair exhibitors have a unique opportunity to establish valuable business relationships with the largest Russian publishers and booksellers, networks, and get access to international markets by establishing contacts with literary agents, both foreign and Russian working abroad.
